Inspired by the poem by Homer

Devised and created by the Ensemble

Odysseus’ epic journey home from the ashes of Troy. After ten years at war, a man is lost, wandering the ocean, pursued by the vengeful storm god Poseidon in a desperate quest to return home in a tale of heroes, gods and monsters.

Allegra Ceccarelli is a Brazilian/ Italian actress and singer who just graduated a Master degree on acting at East 15 Acting School. Her last performances in London were Shakespeare’s “Macbeth”, Michel Tremblay’s “Les Belles Soeurs”, Goethe’s “Faust part 1 & 2”, Caryl Churchill’s “A Mouthful of Birds” and Ariel Dorfman’s “Widows”. Allegra had been doing theatre for many years in Brazil before moving to London. There, she worked mostly with devising and musical theatre. Her last production in Brazil was a devising piece based on Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Shrew” where she played Katherine. Recently she did two acting residencies, one in Moscow at the Russian University of Theatre and Arts (GITIS) and she just came back from her last one in Bali at the Arts Centre where she studied Balinese theatre, dance and music.

I was born in a little italian town called Bollate, and lived there until the age of 13, when I moved to Norway for 6 years. I have now lived in England for 4 years, where I did my Bachelor’s degree in Drama at the University of Essex and have trained at East 15 Acting School on the MA Acting course. I am a very active individual and have always played a variety of sports, including basketball, athletics, Judo and my favourite, football. In spite of my zealousness, I do like to kick back, read a good book, watch a good film, or play chess, my favourite board game. I am a very open minded individual, I love travelling, making new experiences and meeting new people, but I also love my family and friends, and staying back and relaxing once in a while is something I always try to make time for. I also love languages, I speak Italian and English fluently, Spanish conversationally, and I aim to learn Norwegian as soon as I can.

Connor Eastman is a student at East 15 working towards his MFA in acting. In addition to Odyssey he has performed in Cat Amongst the Pigeons as Lantery, Pornography as Jason, and The Turn of the Screw as The Man. This is his first devised project, and he is excited and grateful to be working with such a dedicated and enthusiastic cast.
