Loosely based on the Greek myth, this production, both poignant and funny, explores the complexities of power through the relationship between a father and his son.
Trapped in a labyrinth and desperate to escape, Daedalus decides to build a flying machine. Rebellious Icarus believes he cannot go on, yet Daedalus wields authority over him, forcing him to help construct the machine and make their dream of escape a reality. Triumphantly, they fly away. But there is danger in their new found freedom and a series of adventures follows with ultimately destructive consequences.
I am originally from Ruislip, though I moved to India when I was 6 years old. I lived in a small town in the mountains and ended up in a village school run by the local Yogi who taught us yoga every morning. I returned to England nearly 3 years later where I have continued my education, eventually graduating with a BA in War, Peace and International Relations from the University of Reading. Whilst at university I began work as a gardener and took part in the drama society. After some hard-graft I found myself leaning more towards acting rather than politics, which has led me to study at East 15. I have recently completed my studies at East 15, and I would now like to further develop my skills as a primal movement practitioner. I am fascinated by the ancient world, its many cultures, languages and spiritual beliefs. I love to cook, climb, watch movies, play video games, and I'm partial to the odd adventure. Also I like sushi. A lot.
